Harbottle & Lewis advise Channel 4 on digital radio stations
Media and entertainment lawyers, Harbottle & Lewis, have acted for Channel 4 in relation to their plans to proceed with the launch of three new 4-branded digital radio stations. Channel 4 Radio was recently awarded a 12-year licence from Ofcom to operate the UK's second national commercial DAB multiplex. Starting in July 2008 it will launch three new digital radio stations; E4 Radio, Channel 4 Radio and Pure4.
Working on the deal were Tim Parker, partner in the Corporate Group, who was assisted by Fiona Dixon and Charlotte Ferris. In addition, Seb Belcher, partner in Interactive Entertainment Group, advised on the commercial arrangements, assisted by Adam Mitton.
