Harbottle & Lewis advise Michelson Diagnostics on cancer treatment investment
Harbottle & Lewis have acted for optical imaging company, Michelson Diagnostics, in relation to a £600,000 investment from London Seed Capital in conjunction with the London Business Angels and Catapult Venture Managers. Micheslon Diagnostics will use the investment to further enhance its pioneering technology and pursue in-vivo trials in a clinical environment. This innovative imaging technology addresses the key need for clinicians to see, during an operation and in real time, the location and extent of a tumour, for a range of cancer types, enabling faster and more accurate cancer surgery.
Tony Littner, solicitor in the Growth Capital group and Tariq Qureshi, solicitor in the Corporate group led the transaction. They were assisted by David Scott, senior associate in the tax and Emily Pritty from the employment group.
Harbottle & Lewis has a dedicated Growth Capital group which specialises in advising growth companies and entrepreneurs as well as business angels and seed capital funds. The firm is involved with organisations and initiatives to support the growth and development of early stage businesses and is an active partner of London Business Angels.
