Harbottle & Lewis advise Ecosse Films on ITV drama 'My Boy Jack'

Media and entertainment lawyers, Harbottle & Lewis have acted for long standing client, Ecosse Films, in relation to the production of the period drama My Boy Jack, which will be shown on ITV on Remembrance Sunday, November 11th. The film is set during World War One and tells the true story of how celebrated author Rudyard Kipling used his influence to get his 17-year-old son Jack a commission with the Irish Guards despite his son's poor eyesight and his twice being refused by the army. Jack later went missing in action and his parents carried out an ardent search for him spanning many years and miles, forcing Kipling to confront the realities of war and his beliefs.

The film's writer, David Haig, plays celebrated author Rudyard Kipling, whilst Daniel Radcliffe stars as Jack Kipling in his first TV role since the Harry Potter films and ex-Sex and the City actress, Kim Cattrall, plays Kipling's wife Carrie.

Harbottle & Lewis advised Ecosse Films in relation to financing and production work.
