'I'd Do Anything' contestants advised by Harbottle & Lewis

Media and entertainment lawyers, Harbottle & Lewis, have advised the runners-up, finalists and winners of BBC One's hugely successful Saturday night talent show I'd Do Anything, including Jodie Prenger who has won the role of Nancy in the upcoming West End Production of Oliver.

I'd Do Anything launched a nationwide talent search back in January 2008 to find an unknown talent for the role of Nancy and as well as three young performers who would take it in turns to play Oliver in a new West End production of the musical which will be produced by Cameron Mackintosh.

Harbottle & Lewis advised the finalists for both Nancy and Oliver and are continuing to advise Jodie and the two runners up Samantha Barks and Jessie Buckley. The work draws on the firm's expertise and strengths across theatre, television and music as well as its work with representing high profile individuals in the media and entertainment arena.

This is the third year running in which the firm has advised in connection with this programme. Last year the firm advised Lee Mead star of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and the finalists of Any Dream Will Do. It has also acted for winner Connie Fisher and the runners-up in How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?

Partner Neil Adleman, head of the firm's Theatre Group, commented: "It is always exciting and challenging to be involved with these high profile artists at the start of their careers. That is especially the case this year as all three finalists are relative newcomers just starting out in the entertainment business. This year also brought the additional challenge of advising the 12 boys hoping to play Oliver and their families."
