Harbottle & Lewis advises the Forward Internet Group on its acquisition of uSwitch.com

Harbottle & Lewis advised the Forward Internet Group (formerly TrafficBroker) on its acquisition of uSwitch.com, the UK's leading online energy price comparison and switching service, from the US media company Scripps Networks Interactive Inc.

The acquisition will increase Forward’s presence in home and financial service markets and will add a household consumer internet brand to its growing stable of online services. It is intended that uSwitch.com will become the flagship brand within Forward’s consumer division, Forward Innovations, where it will join other money-saving consumer internet services, such as InvisibleHand and Omio.

The Harbottle & Lewis team was led by Mark Phillips, Head of the firm's New Media Group, and Senior Associate Tony Littner from the Corporate Practice with support from Partner Rhys Llewellyn and Sarah Pons. Robert Reilly advised on property related matters, Adam Mitton on IP and David Scott provided advice relating to tax.
