Part One: How to avoid being in breach - 25 March 2010

This seminar will focus on how to organise and operate your business in relation to the collection, use and storage of personal data to avoid being in breach in the first place. The seminar will include a discussion of the circumstances in which the Information Commissioner can utilise the new enforcement powers and a clear summary of the guidance published by the Office of the Information Commissioner. We will also cover data controller notification requirements, drafting data collection statements, buying, selling and using marketing lists, maintaining security of data and using data processors.
