Harbottle & Lewis expands Film and Television Group with two new partners
Harbottle & Lewis is delighted to announce the arrival of film and television specialists Jonathan Berger and Peter Armstrong, who have joined the firm as partners from Reed Smith.
Peter has specialised in film and television copyright, production and finance for over 30 years. He represents U.S. studios responsible for the production legal work on major Hollywood films shot in the UK and Europe. Current examples are "The Wolfman" and "Robin Hood" for Universal Pictures. He also acts for an extensive list of UK and European independent producers and is the legal adviser to Film London.
Jonathan provides legal and business advice on the financing, production and distribution of films and television programmes. His clients include leading UK film and television producers and distributors as well as Hollywood majors. He has recently advised on Peter Weir's "The Way Back", "Wild Target" for Magic Light Pictures, "Cosi" produced by Stephen Evans, the UK version of "Law & Order" for NBC Universal and various acquisitions for the TV producer and financier Chapman Entertainment.
