Harbottle & Lewis LLP advises selling shareholders of Cole Kitchenn Personal Management Limited

Media and entertainment lawyers Harbottle & Lewis have advised on the sale of the majority shareholding of actor’s agency Cole Kitchenn Personal Management Limited to Jonathan Shalit, celebrity manager and owner of ROAR Group (Rights Ownership Artist Representation).

The deal sees Jonathan Shalit buy a majority stake in the company from the existing shareholders, Guy Kitchenn, Stuart Piper and Cole Kitchenn Limited. Jonathan has become a director and chairman of the company whilst Stuart Piper will continue as a shareholder and managing director. Guy Kitchenn and Cole Kitchenn Limited, which has produced and general managed more than 55 West-End productions over the last 30 years, remain minority shareholders.

Harbottle & Lewis advised Guy Kitchenn, Stuart Piper and Cole Kitchenn Limited on all aspects of the sale and arrangements relating to the parties’ ongoing relationship with each other. The deal was led by Corporate Partner Rhys Llewellyn whilst Victoria Lamont provided input on employment issues. Theatre Partner Neil Adleman has previously advised Cole Kitchenn Limited on a number of theatre related issues.
