Lawyer Vacancies
Junior IP Lawyer
We are seeking an assistant solicitor to work primarily with the Intellectual Property section within our Music, Interactive Entertainment, IP and Sports Groups (MIPIES). The right candidate will probably have up to 24 months PQE or equivalent and have experience and interest in contentious work. Good academics are important, but equally the right candidate should be able to demonstrate a willingness to keep developing as a lawyer not only in his or her knowledge of the law but also to develop other skills which are required of a commercially aware lawyer today.
As can be seen by the range of work listed below, the successful candidate will need to be versatile, have a wide ranging knowledge, be keen to develop further, and be able to think creatively and laterally. Candidates will need to demonstrate sound commercial judgement, research skills, some marketing experience and a track record of fostering and maintaining good client relationships by providing good quality legal advice delivered in a pragmatic and commercial manner.
