Chloë is a Solicitor in the Music Group.
Chloë advises on a broad range of music and music-related issues including recording, publishing, management, live performance, licensing, distribution, merchandising and production arrangements as well as composer agreements for film scores, and synchronisation licenses for films and advertisements. She also has a strong knowledge of the collection societies and their procedures and has provided advice for clients in relation to such societies and their various licensing schemes (for both licensors and licensees).
A significant part of Chloë's work involves advising small businesses and upcoming musicians in relation to their first foray into the music industry and advising them on a more general commercial basis as well as in relation to specific ventures or contractual issues.
In addition, Chloë has significant experience in relation to new media and technology developments such as mobile ringtones and the online exploitation of music in relation to which she has published articles in legal journals.
Chloë graduated from St John's College, Oxford University with an MA. She joined Harbottle & Lewis in March 2002 and qualified as a solicitor in 2004.
