Anil is a Solicitor in the firm's Sports and Sponsorship Groups.
Anil advises on a broad range of commercial matters relating to the sports industry including event and tournament promotion, sponsorship of sports events, broadcast sponsorship, merchandising and rights licensing. He also has experience in advising clients on the intellectual property issues in player contracts.
Anil negotiates on behalf of rights holders, sports governing bodies and corporate sponsors in football and golf and advises national and international player associations in cricket on various player participation issues.
Anil graduated from Durham University with a BA (Combined Honours) in French, English and Law and completed the CPE and LPC at Nottingham Law School. Having previously worked in sports media, he qualified in March 2006 and joined Harbottle & Lewis LLP in August 2007.
Anil completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Sports Law from King's College London in 2006 and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Commercial Intellectual Property with Distinction from Nottingham Law School in 2007.
