People | Melanie Benson
Melanie is a Senior Associate in the Property Practice.
Melanie advises on a broad range of commercial property work and acts on behalf of private property companies, investors and occupiers in the sale and purchase of commercial property, leasing and lease renewals, corporate support and property development work. She also acts for a number of Theatre and Charity clients.
Recent/current work includes advising on the redevelopment of the Wigmore Hall and the acquisition of their new office premises, disposals and acquisitions of business premises for various clients including Talkback Productions and Chrysalis Books Limited, advising Virgin Clubs Limited on the disposal of the Heaven Nightclub and the disposal of Chrysalis TV by the Chrysalis Group.
Melanie is a member of the Theatre and Charity Groups and heads the Leisure Group and she also writes articles and contributes to newsletters on a regular basis.
She graduated with an LLB from Queen Mary and Westfield College, London and qualified in 1999, joining Harbottle & Lewis in April 2000. Melanie was promoted to Senior Associate in August 2004.
