Sam is a Partner in the Litigation Practice and a CEDR Accredited Mediator. She is head of the firm's Corporate Recovery and Insolvency team and part of the Finance Practice. She deals with a broad range of corporate and commercial disputes, with particular emphasis on contractual and corporate finance issues, board and shareholder disputes, joint ventures, share sale and purchase agreements, partnerships and trusts both within and outside the media, entertainment and aviation spheres.
Some of her notable cases include Chris Evans v Virgin Radio; Franklin Mint v The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund; British Museum v Attorney General; and the Administration of Queen's Park Rangers Football Club. Sam has extensive experience of Mediations and other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Sam works closely with the Corporate, Aviation and Finance groups.
Sam joined the firm in 1996 from Titmuss Sainer Dechert (now Dechert) and was made a Partner in 1999. She became the firm's Managing Partner in August 2000 (a post she held until August 2005) making her one of the youngest female Managing Partners of any law firm. She is a current member of R3, the Society of Practitioners of Insolvency.
