People | Glen Atchison
Glen is Managing Partner, head of the firm's Tax Practice and co-head of its Private Client Practice.
His work involves providing specialist advice to clients on corporate tax, personal tax, and strategic tax matters, covering all aspects of the firm's practice, with particular focus on clients in the media, e-commerce and leisure industries. Glen advises on tax structuring issues and general tax aspects for buyers and sellers on share and business sale and purchases.
Glen regularly advises upon possible employee incentive arrangements, ranging from advice on share option schemes, including enterprise management incentive options, to more complex and bespoke arrangements for incentivising and rewarding key executives. He also advises on the tax consequences arising on termination of employment, as well as advising clients on dealing with the HMRC in respect of tax enquiries and investigations.
Glen read Jurisprudence at Balliol College, Oxford before training and qualifying into the tax department at Travers Smith in 1995. He joined Harbottle & Lewis in 1998.
