Marian Derham is a Partner and Head of the Employment Practice.
Her practice covers all aspects of employment law including executive terminations and negotiations, wrongful and unfair dismissal, discrimination law, day to day advice to HR departments and companies on a broad range of employment issues including dealing with disciplinary, dismissal and grievance procedures, sickness absences, contracts of employment and senior appointments and advising on redundancies and reorganisations.
Marian acts for both employers and senior executives and is recognised in Legal 500 for her work in negotiating settlements for a large number of senior executives in a range of sectors. Her clients include companies and individuals who are predominantly, but not exclusively, in the media and entertainment, leisure, fashion and sport industries and charities sector.
Graduating with an LLB from the London School of Economics, Marian joined Harbottle & Lewis in 1984 and became a partner in 1989.
