Daniel is a Partner and Head of the firm’s Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Practice. Daniel specialises in all aspects of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence and Sports Law related claims.

Daniel deals generally in high-value Employer Liability and Public Liability claims (and often multi-party actions) involving many jurisdictions, with particular emphasis in the Construction Industry and the Close Protection Industry, and he also specialises in high value stress and clinical negligence claims. He has also been recognised as an expert in sports law (acting for Darrell Hair, Mike Tyson, Sam Allardyce and a number of Premiership footballers, and other high profile individuals).

Legal 500 2008 refers to Daniel exhibiting ‘remarkable standards of work’ and states that ‘the diligent and hardworking Daniel Marks is highly regarded by peers‘.

Daniel graduated from Manchester University with an LLB Honours (where he was also Chairman of the Law Society) and completed Law Society finals at Chancery Lane College of Law. Having trained and qualified at Clifford Chance, he became a partner at Finers Stephens Innocent LLP where he was Head of Personal Injury and also Head of Sport. He joined Harbottle & Lewis LLP as Head of the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Practice in January 2010.
