David is a Partner and Head of the firm's Charities Group. He advises charities and not-for-profit organisations on charity law issues generally, as well as providing specific tax-related advice.

David also works within the Tax and Private Client Practices. He advises extensively on corporate and personal tax issues and has considerable experience of providing tax advice to both individual and corporate clients on share and business acquisitions and disposals. David has expertise in all aspects of share incentive arrangements, ranging from the adoption of employee share option schemes to highly tailored share-based arrangements for senior management. His experience also includes the implementation of complex employee benefit trusts.

David graduated from the London School of Economics in 1997. He then trained at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer qualifying in 2000 and joined Harbottle & Lewis in 2001.
