Eleanor Scholey is a Solicitor in the Employment Practice.
Eleanor advises both employers and employees on a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. Eleanor regularly represents both employers and employees in the Employment Tribunal and has noteworthy experience representing City executives in complex high value (and often high profile) discrimination claims, particularly in cases involving sensitive issues of mental ill-health.
Eleanor has also provided extensive practical training to HR professionals and line managers on complying with employment legislation in respect of issue such as managing poor performance and sickness absence, avoiding discrimination in the workplace and handling redundancies. Eleanor presents at various in-house and external CIPD events.
Eleanor graduated in 2001 from the University of Sheffield with a joint honours BA in Law and Criminology. She qualified at National firm Beachcroft and joined Harbottle & Lewis in 2009 from Blake Lapthorn. Eleanor is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
