People | Matthew Leverton
Matthew Leverton handles a wide variety of commercial disputes across the full range of the firm's Litigation practice. He has acted for clients in the telecoms, IT, film and television, music and aviation industries, as well as in fashion and other retailer industries. He has significant experience of acting on a wide variety of higher value commercial disputes, both preparing such cases for trial and, where required, providing comprehensive written advice at the pre-action stage.
In addition, Matthew has significant experience as a property litigator, acting on property disputes for both corporate and individual clients and working closely with the Property Practice in advising its clients on the management of their portfolios.
Matthew has recently written a feature for the Commercial Litigation Journal (available here), and regularly contributes to numerous Harbottle & Lewis eBulletins.
Matthew graduated from Wadham College, Oxford University with a 2:1 in Classics in 2002 before completing his postgraduate diploma in law (conversion course) and legal practice course at the College of Law, Bloomsbury. He trained at Travers Smith before joining the Litigation Department at Harbottle & Lewis in September 2007.
