People | Caroline West
Caroline is Head of Personnel and Facilities. She is responsible for managing everything to do with people including recruitment, retention and staff development, health and safety, staff salaries and benefits, planning staffing levels and monitoring staff welfare. Her team is responsible for all of the firm's recruitment including lawyers, business support and secretarial staff.
Caroline is also involved in the firm's trainee recruitment programme. She is a member of the firm's Executive Management Committee which is responsible for the day to day management of the firm; she also has overall responsibility for management of the building and building services.
Before joining Harbottle & Lewis, Caroline worked in television culminating in six years at Diverse Production looking after HR and facilities, followed by a short dabble in secretarial recruitment for an independent recruitment agency. Caroline joined Harbottle & Lewis in 1998.
