Kate McCullagh advises clients in the media and entertainment industries in all aspects of project development, production, sales and distribution. She has experience in acting for a range of clients including producers, broadcasters, studios, talent and venues. She has also advised clients in the e-commerce and newspaper industries on the exploitation and protection of their intellectual property rights.

Kate joined Harbottle & Lewis on qualification in September 2011. During her training contract, Kate spent six months on secondment at Discovery Communications. Prior to training as a lawyer, Kate spent seven years working for independent production companies, gaining experience in development, production, sales and distribution of films, television and theatre.

Kate graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford with an English degree, and completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at BPP. She is a BAFTA member.
