People | Lucy Gray
Lucy is a Solicitor in the Employment Practice. Lucy has experience of advising employers and individuals on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, including contracts and policies, employee relations issues and contract terminations. Lucy has particular experience of representing employers in the Employment Tribunal in a broad range of claims, including unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistle blowing cases. As part of her non-contentious experience, Lucy advises on redundancy consultations, the application of TUPE and employment related issues in corporate transactions.
Lucy also provides practical training to employers in seminars and workshops on how to deal with employment issues in the workplace, including managing sickness absence, grievances and disciplinaries and compliance with employment and immigration law.
Lucy graduated from Bristol University with a BA in History and undertook a Post Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of the West of England (UWE). Lucy gained a distinction on the Legal Practice Course at UWE and trained at Burges Salmon LLP, Bristol, qualifying in September 2006. Lucy spent 3 years in the Employment and Pensions Group at national firm Beachcroft LLP. She joined Harbottle & Lewis LLP in April 2010.
