Nick Hughes advises on a range of corporate and commercial matters including investments, commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, disposals and de-mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and shareholder arrangements. He also advises clients on all aspects of corporate governance including the significance of the Bribery Act 2010. He has particular experience in the media, entertainment and sport sectors, including:

• advising in relation to three rounds of strategic investment in a Premiership/Championship football club with a view to a full takeover in due course;
• advising on a proposed participation at the pinnacle of motor racing;
• advising on a £100 million company de-merger; and
• negotiating the successful settlement of a dispute between the members of a trans-Atlantic joint venture.
