People | Nicolas Murfett
Nicolas Murfett is a Solicitor in the Sport and Interactive Entertainment Groups. He advises clients on a wide range of non-contentious commercial and intellectual property matters within both the sports and videogames industries and the sponsorship, advertising, film and television industries.
Nicolas has spent the last six months on secondment to Microsoft. During this time, he has primarily advised Microsoft on its content licence and app development arrangements with film studios and distributors for Microsoft’s “Zune” digital entertainment service and Xbox Live platform.
Having graduated from the University of Sheffield with an LLB (Hons) Nic went on to complete the LPC at Nottingham Law School before obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Sports Law with a Commendation from King's College London. Nic qualified as a solicitor in March 2011 having trained with the firm and is a member of the British Association for Sport and Law.
