People | Sandi Simons
Sandi is a Partner in the Litigation Practice and Head of the Fashion Group. She advises in relation to a wide variety of commercial disputes and has extensive knowledge and experience in all areas of the media and entertainment industries including Interactive Entertainment, Music, Publishing, Theatre, Film and Television. Areas of particular speciality are intellectual property and contractual disputes, and the Commercial Agents Regulations.
Sandi has been involved in a number of well-known cases such as acting for 19TV in relation to its dispute with FremantleMedia Limited, Simon Cowell and Simco over the Pop Idol format. She has taken a number of cases to trial and has both brought and defended injunctive relief applications. She has also resolved a number of disputes through mediation and provides clients with strategic advice.
Sandi obtained a First from Guildford Law School. She qualified in 1996, joining Harbottle & Lewis in 1998 from Cameron McKenna and became a Partner in 2005. Sandi is a member of the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers.
