On 30 January we hosted a panel discussion ‘Harassment in Production – Fostering a culture of respect and dealing with issues that arise’.
The panel was chaired by Sarah Lazarides (a partner in our Film & TV group). The panellists consisted of Sasha Scott founder of Inclusive Group, Yvonne Gallagher and Sarah Verrecchia from our Employment department and John Kelly from our Media and Information Group.
The panel discussion focused on what those in Theatre, TV and Film can do to create a culture that reduces harassment in the workplace but also capably addresses harassment if it is reported. The topics discussed ranged from alcohol and conduct to policy.
More than 40 people from the Theatre, Film and TV industries attended the event, and there was an in depth discussion of the industries response to recent developments, as well as a reminder of how to handle legal and practical issues.
The evening concluded with drinks where our guests enjoyed sharing their ideas on the topics discussed.
