Congratulations to our new partners and senior associates

Harbottle & Lewis is delighted to announce the appointment of new partners, Siena Gold (Private Client & Tax) and Brian Aris (Chief Operating Officer).

The Firm has also promoted four associates to the position of senior associate. These are Harry Bresslaw (Theatre), Edward Lane (Corporate), Clare McGarry (Film & TV) and Katrien Roos (Film & TV).

Managing Partner, Glen Atchison, said: “We are delighted to welcome Siena and Brian to the partnership. When added to the promotions of Clare, Katrien, Harry and Ed, it is great to see so much talent coming through and we are confident that all will continue contributing positively to the continuing success of the Firm. The internal promotions come at a time of sustained growth for the Firm, as evidenced by us having recently attracted market leading partners Sofie Hoffman, Marianne Kafena, Zoë Camp, Marcus Parker, Sarah Gogan and Andrew Terry, as well as senior associates Morag Ofili, Alexa Collis and Judith Robertson.

Partners

Siena Gold advises individuals and the family offices, trustees and financial institutions representing them on personal asset holding structures, cross-border tax, succession planning, family governance, and philanthropy. She has considerable experience assisting internationally mobile individuals on the tax, succession and practical consequences of various personal structures, with a particular specialism in offshore trusts and the arrangements of entrepreneurs.

Brian Aris is a member of the Firm’s Board and Management Executive Committee and is heavily involved in setting the Firm’s strategy as well as ensuring its delivery. He also has overall responsibility for the Firm’s operational activities, with a focus on providing first class support to our lawyers which enables them to deliver high quality, efficient and compliant legal services to all of our clients.

Senior Associates

Clare McGarry works with clients in the film, television, and theatre industries advising on rights, commissioning, development, production and distribution arrangements for film, TV and theatre clients, as well as associated sector issues.

Katrien Roos advises clients in the film, television and theatre industries in relation to rights exploitation, development, financing, production and distribution. She acts for individual rights holders, location owners, independent TV and film production companies, US studios and SVOD platforms.

Harry Bresslaw advises on commercial matters in the entertainment industry, focusing on issues relating to the exploitation of intellectual property. He works primarily with clients in the theatre, film and television sectors, advising on rights acquisition and licensing, financing, development, production, distribution and other related sector issues.

Edward Lane advises on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, with a focus on assisting entrepreneurs, businesses, private equity houses and venture capital investors active in the video games, media, entertainment, technology and financial services sectors.
