We are delighted that our client Sketchbook Games has won the award for UK Game of the Show at Gamescom 2017 for its game Lost Words.
Lost Words is a platformer game set in the pages of a diary. Players can run on words and move them to solve puzzles to unlock the fantasy world of Estoria, where words are even more powerful.
The Harbottle & Lewis team, which was led by partner Alan Moss with support from associates Ben McMeechan and Sharon D’Silva, advised on aspects of the development and financing of the game.
Mark Backler, the developer of Lost Words, said: “Harbottle & Lewis has been hugely supportive, advising us on matters ranging from contracts to fundraising. Their friendly team has gone out of their way to help us make our game and studio a success.
“As we are UKIE members we have also been able to benefit from using their games industry specific contracts which have been really handy. I have already recommended Harbottle & Lewis to some of my friends, who have also been really happy with their excellent services.”
