Caroline Rao has over 15 years’ experience advising on the establishment and operation of structures to hold private wealth and family business wealth. She has particular experience in understanding what works for both the family members and the professionals involved in operating them, and the pitfalls to avoid.
Caroline also focuses on cross-border lifetime and succession planning and international tax planning for individuals/entrepreneurs/families with or without the use of trusts or foundations.
Caroline joined the firm in 2018, from Lawrence Graham/WLG/Gowling, where she specialised in the advice and design of structures to hold and operate family (often multi-generational) wealth, most of which had a connection with countries in the GCC and required regular travel to the region.
Caroline also advises clients with connections to central Europe, USA and South America.
