Judicial review plays an essential role in ensuring each branch of government recognises the limits of its own power, but have judges gone beyond their remit, and become unnecessarily embroiled in political issues?
The Government thinks so and aims to introduce reforms to ensure that whilst judicial review is available to protect the rights of the individuals against an overbearing state, it is not abused to conduct politics by another means or create needless delay.
