Leaders in Tech Law Awards: Finalist in four categories

We have been named as a finalist in four categories at the Legal Geek Leaders in Tech Law Awards 2026.

The firm has been announced as a finalist for Most Innovative Independent Law Firm, reflecting its commitment to fostering a culture of innovation powered by technology – one of the firm’s key strategic pillars.

In addition, two of our people are finalists in three individual categories. Our director of innovation, Michael Vasalos, is shortlisted for Change Management Leader and Rising Star of Legal Tech, whilst our director of IT, Kerry Angel, is a finalist in the category of Women Leaders in Tech.

The Legal Geek Leaders in Tech Law Awards shine a spotlight on the people and organisations at the forefront of legal innovation and transformation who are redefining how legal services are delivered, from pioneering new technologies to driving meaningful change.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Pan Pacific, London on 14 October 2026.

Michael Vasalos Director

Michael is the firm’s director of innovation. He is responsible for our innovation strategy, including the ethical adoption of AI and emerging technologies to streamline legal service delivery.

Michael is the firm’s director of innovation. He is responsible for our innovation strategy, including the ethical adoption of AI and emerging technologies to streamline legal service delivery.

Michael leads the innovation department, leveraging a comprehensive legal technology stack to deliver services to clients and create efficiencies for our lawyers. As part of his role in the firm’s Innovation Fund steering group, Michael is responsible for delivering the initiatives into which the fund has invested.

With a legal background and significant experience in legal tech and automation roles at international law firms, including the magic circle (Clifford Chance) and professional services firms (Thomson Reuters), Michael brings extensive expertise in identifying process improvement opportunities and delivering technology-driven business transformation projects.

Michael has studied law and holds an LLM. in international shipping law from QMUL.

Kerry Angel Director

Kerry is our IT director. Her role is to deliver strategic and operational IT throughout the firm. She has over 25 years’ experience in the legal IT industry ranging from training and service delivery.

Kerry is our IT director. Her role is to deliver strategic and operational IT throughout the firm. She has over 25 years’ experience in the legal IT industry ranging from training and service delivery.

Her passion lies in improving IT within firms through growing partnerships, not only internally but also by working closely with vendors to provide the best service possible.

Kerry is also an advocate for increasing the number of women in IT. In February 2022, she has formed an initiative called Girls in Tech which aims to show girls aged around 16 the types of role available and to provide an insight into working in IT.
