Emma Wright leads the Firm’s new Technology, Data and Digital group. She is an experienced, market-leading partner in the technology sector.
She specialises in complex commercial transactions, particularly for technology and telecoms clients and has considerable experience in, and a strong reputation for, handling telecom, cyber and internet regulatory matters particularly those involving OFCOM or the ICO, having spent time working in UK Government on tech and in Washington DC.
Emma is listed as a Leading Individual in both Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners for TMT (Technology, Media and Telecoms) and Telecoms. Clients say: ‘Emma Wright simply ‘gets it’, and thinks for clients often before they have thought of things themselves’ and she has been described as ‘the epitome of a trusted adviser’ in the most recent edition of the Legal 500.
Essentially Emma loves the sectors that she is focussed on, works hard to understand her clients’ business objectives and always looks to achieve these objectives in the most pragmatic way possible.
She also has a growing reputation in AI and emerging tech regulation as Counsel and Director of the Institute of AI and she sits on the World Economic Forum’s AI Action Alliance.
Outside of work, Emma is a Champion for the Digital Poverty Alliance.
