Poppy is a managing associate specialising in employment law.

Poppy advises employers and senior executives on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters. She also advises employees and individuals on business immigration and the right to work in the UK.

She provides advice to employers on the full range of HR matters, with particular expertise in advising on complex and high value workplace disputes, restructuring and redundancy processes, performance management issues and tribunal litigation. Poppy also advises individuals on all stages of the employment relationship from contractual terms on entry to negotiating exits.

In respect of immigration, she advises companies and individuals on the right to work in the UK and sponsorship of employees as skilled workers. Poppy assists with visa applications, compliance with immigration duties and the prevention of illegal working.

Poppy’s clients include both businesses and individuals predominantly within the technology, media and entertainment, sport and financial services industries.

Poppy has been described by clients as “very responsive” and “extremely approachable” with excellent communication skills, and her ability to provide a clear, practical solution and to make a client feel prioritised has attracted particular praise.

She is recognised as an ‘Associate to Watch’ in Chambers and Partners.

Poppy trained at Addleshaw Goddard before joining Harbottle & Lewis in 2013. She is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association (ELA) and the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA).
