Finalist for Law Firm of the Year: The Independents

We have been named as a finalist for Law Firm of the Year: The Independents at The Lawyer Awards 2026.

We have been shortlisted in recognition of our sustained growth and strategic evolution over the course of our 70-year history. This shortlisting also recognises our client-centric approach of shaping our strategy entirely around the needs and ambitions of our clients. We do this through our innovative Client Sight framework which has redefined how we operate and deliver value, aligning our processes, structures and investments with our clients’ needs.

Being named as a finalist marks another important milestone in our story.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, which takes place on Tuesday 16 June at The Grosvenor Hotel, London.

Harbottle & Lewis shortlisted for the Business Development Award at LexisNexis Legal Awards 2026

We have been shortlisted for the Business Development Award at the LexisNexis Legal Awards 2026.

The LexisNexis Legal Awards highlight excellence, innovation and impact across the legal profession, recognising organisations and individuals who are making a positive contribution to the industry. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony which takes place at the Park Plaza London Riverbank on Thursday 16 April.

Our shortlisting is linked to our Client Sight framework, which informs our approach to business development and client engagement. The framework is designed to view the firm from our clients’ perspectives, helping us to better understand their needs, what they value, and how we can provide solutions that meet and exceed their expectations.

In a sector where strategies are often shaped by internal structures, Client Sight takes an ‘outside-in’ approach, enabling us to respond more effectively to the needs of a diverse client base. This includes globally recognised brands, large corporates, entrepreneurs, startups, high net worth individuals, and prominent talent.

We are delighted that our efforts to take a client-first approach have been recognised in this way, and we look forward to attending the awards ceremony alongside other firms and individuals who are driving innovation across the legal profession.

We have been listed in The Times Best Law Firms 2026, with commendation for our family and entertainment & sport practices.

The list features the top 250 law firms in England and Wales and is based on recommendations made by lawyers and clients in 28 different fields of law.

Finalists in four categories at the Spear’s Awards 2025

Four of our people have been named as finalists in various categories at the Spear’s Awards 2025, which recognise the outstanding contributions of wealth managers, lawyers and advisors to HNW and UHNW individuals and families.

Our finalists are:

  • Spear’s Woman of the Year – Catherine Bedford
  • Private Client Accountant of the Year – Gary Ashford
  • Lawyer of the Year: Tax and Trusts – Chris Moorcroft
  • Future Leader in Private Client Services – May Delaney

Now in their 18th year, the Spear’s Awards highlight leading work across the private wealth sector. Having individuals named as finalists across four categories reflects the broad range of expertise at the firm as we support our clients with their eclectic and ever-evolving business and personal needs.

The awards ceremony will take place on 20 November 2025 at Raffles London at The OWO.

Finalist for Family Law Firm of the Year

We have been named as a finalist for Family Law Firm of the Year at the LexisNexis Family Law Awards 2025.

The awards seek to recognise the work of family lawyers and celebrate their successes and achievements. The Family Law Firm of the Year category recognises firms that have delivered outstanding quality of legal service for their clients and displayed high levels of teamwork with external lawyers and/or other third parties.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Wednesday 19 November at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London.
